We plan carefully with services to keep everyone safe.

Tips to stay in a good way, all day!

  • Have a plan: Know where you’re going and your meet-up spots.
  • Stay hydrated
  • Slop on sunscreen. Reapply as needed.
  • Wear a hat
  • Find some shade
  • Watch your surroundings for uneven ground, trip hazards, or unsafe behaviour.
  • Report concerns: Tell staff or security if something doesn’t feel right.
  • Respect everyone. Harassment or violence won’t be tolerated.
  • Look out for each other
  • Be kind to everyone
  • Keep clean
  • Check on your mob
  • Bin your rubbish! 
  • Look after Country, she looks after us.

Our medical team is here to help. Visit a First Aid tent or approach a roving uniformed First Aider.

Remember to slip, slop, slap, seek shade, and keep up the H2O to avoid heat stress.

Free sunscreen and shaded zones are around the site if you need a break.

Essentials:

  • Phone
  • ID (must-have!)
  • Bank card
  • Sun protection. Hat, sunnies, sunscreen
  • Empty water bottle (no glass please)
  • Jacket for evening
  • Earplugs
  • Earmuffs for children
  • Necessary medication
  • Any equipment for medical or accessibility needs

Security may conduct random bag searches at any time throughout the festival site as required to keep everyone safe.

Do not bring:

  • Alcohol, drugs, illegal items
  • Glass, aerosols, flares, fireworks
  • Sporting gear, balls, skateboards, scooters, inflatables
  • Selfie sticks, laser pointers, loud instruments
  • Costumes resembling emergency services
  • Any other items deemed unsafe or antisocial
 

Confiscated items won’t be returned, and you may be asked to leave.

Yabun may update this list at any time, attendees are responsible for checking changes.

Yes, both security and NSW Police are on-site throughout the event to help keep everyone safe.

We ask all attendees to be respectful and courteous to security, police, and event staff, they’re here to support the community, assist with safety, and ensure Yabun remains a welcoming and enjoyable space for all.

If you ever feel unsafe, lost, or need help, please approach a staff member, security guard, or visit the First Aid areas.
